MSMTA's dedicated teachers bring music to students across Montana, and we are committed to supporting the music education of every student, from recreational music maker to competition enthusiast. Our membership is comprised of teachers of piano, strings, voice, woodwinds, brass, organ, percussion, composition, and theory. Students of our member teachers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of enriching events, including:

- MSMTA Fall Festival, a non-advancing state level competition
- MTNA Performance Competitions, an advancing national-level competition
