KAMTA Presents our 10th Annual Scholarship Alumni Concert

KAMTA is pleased to present our Scholarship Alumni Concert on December 29, 2009 at 7 pm in the Glacier High School Auditorium.

The program will feature Jordan Neiman a third-year student at North Carolina School of the Arts. Jordan has been preparing for the 8th National Chopin Piano Competition and will present from his Chopin repertoire along with other choice selections.

Amos Chon will join Jordan for an exciting chamber music performance of the first movement of Haydn's Cello Concert No. 2 in D Major. Amos is a sophomore at Southern Adventist University where he is a Bio/Pre-med major and music minor.

Jenny Snipstead will sing three divers selections including two Spanish pieces by Xavier Monsalvatge and the Girl in 14G by Jeanine Tesori. Kevin Allen-Schmid, choir director at Flathead High School, will accompany his former student.

Performing as a flute trio will be Beth Pirrie, Deva Siblerud, and Kristen Schuster. It is such a pleasure to hear this legacy of local students; Deva and Kristen are both former students of Beth's; all three flutists studied music at the University of Montana. Kristen Schuster will also be performing a flute and percussion piece joined by Chris Hanson on his battery of instruments.

Each of these wonderful performers has received scholarship monies through the KAMTA Scholarship Program funded by donations from local businesses and personal sponsors. Please join us on December 29, 2009 at 7 pm in the Glacier High School Auditorium as we showcase these fine young musicians and celebrate the efforts of our community of music educators and supporters.

Tickets are available at the door or through KAMTA Members. Please call Maryruth Fallon at 752-1490 for more information.
